Developer SamScene3D took to their Discord server to announce the release of their Xiamen Airport and City scenery pack for MSFS.
Opened in 1983, Xiamen Gaoqi International Airport (ZSAM/XMN) is currently the only airport serving the Xiamen area. The airport serves as a hub for XiamenAir and a focus city for China Eastern Airlines, Shandong Airlines, and Spring Airlines. While the airport has seen extensive expansion and growth in recent years, including the construction of a new terminal 4, the single-runway airport is constricted. As a result, a new Xiamen Airport is in the works and is scheduled for completion in 2025.
SamScene3D’s latest scenery brings Xiamen Airport and the surrounding areas to life in extreme detail. The airport scenery includes all the essentials features flight simmers look for, including accurate ground markings, detailed modeling of terminals 3 and 4, terminal interiors in terminal 4, custom jetways, and more. The cityscape includes over 200 handcrafted building models and 500 high-rise apartment buildings. With iconic landmarks, stadiums, universities, and more modeled in the scenery pack, there is much to explore in the city of Xiamen. Pilots are in for a spectacular view when they come in to land on runway 5 at the airport.
