Orbx is Bringing ENSD Sandane Airport to MSFS

Orbx is back in Norway with Sandane Airport coming soon to Microsoft Flight Simulator. The small regional airport near the city of the same name serves a number of domestic routes to locations such as Sogndal, Oslo and Bergen. The runway measure just over 3,100ft, meaning that the type of aircraft that can visit Sandane is somewhat limited. However, the stunning nearby terrain, landscaping and numerous rivers make for a scenic flight around the area. In fact, it was rated one of the world’s scariest approaches.

The airport product has been developed by Andeas Hegi and comes with a number of features, including 2K texturing, custom ground decals and accurate modelling. Furthermore, there is also 60cm ortho imagery and custom approach lighting as part of the product.

A number of preview images were shared over on the Orbx forums ahead of its release. No timeframe was given, but with the product page live, it won’t be too long now.
