After teasing the airport on social media a couple of weeks ago, MK Studios has officially released Bologna Airport for MSFS.
Officially known as Bologna Guglielmo Marconi Airport (LIPE/BLQ), Bologna Airport is named after Italian inventor and electrical engineer Guglielmo Marconi. The airport features a single 9,196 foot runway and all gates feature boarding/deboarding via airstairs. Interestingly, the airport is connected to the city center of Bologna via a monorail service known as the Macaroni Express. Despite its smaller size, the airport serves as a hub for Neos and Ryanair.

MK Studios’ rendition of Bologna Airport was built from scratch, and features interiors of the main terminal building, modeling of important landmarks surrounding the airport, custom ground support equipment vehicles, and more. The scenery is also compatible with most A.I. traffic add-ons.
You can now purchase MK Studios’ Bologna Airport scenery from Contrail for €13.00 (excluding VAT).
