iniBuilds have posted 2 new teaser images that revealed their next airport for Microsoft Flight Simulator will be Southampton (EGHI).
The images show a Mercedes AMG and Smart Car dealership that are to the west of the airfield. We were able to cross reference the teaser images with pictures from Google Street View to confirm a match.

Southampton already has a scenery from Orbx which has been available for over a year. Since that scenery was released, the airport also has seen a number of upgrades and improvements which are not incorporated into the Orbx version, such as an extension of runway 20.
Southampton Airport opened in 1912 and like many other U.K. airfields served an important role during the war years where it became RAF Southampton. It saw a number of commercial ventures throughout the 20th century following the defeat of the axis powers and today it serves airlines including Aer Lingus, KLM and EasyJet.

Prior to the runway 20 expansion, the airport was prohibited from serving larger planes including Boeing 737s and Airbus A320s owing to it’s small size. However since the expansion was completed, easyJet has announced new routes to Belfast and Glasgow commencing in early November this year.
Other than those types, the airport primarily sees ATR turboprop aircraft as well as a handful of E-Jets, along with business jets and cargo operations. Prior to defunct UK airline FlyBe going bankrupt, the airport also acted as a regional hub for the carrier with flights to France and the Channel Islands on their fleet of Dash-8s.
No specific release date for the iniBuilds’ scenery has been announced, however the team did confirm on their Discord server that the scenery would be coming ‘later this month.’
We will bring you the latest news regarding iniBuilds’ next product launch as and when we get it.
