If you’ve ever felt lonely on those long-range GA flights and looking for company, then why not have man’s best friends accompany you? Got Friends has released a new freeware product that gives you just that with a dog companion joining you in a number of aircraft.
The product adds a number of animals to join you in the cockpit, giving you some virtual company on your flights. A number of different breeds of dogs are available, along with a cat if you so wish. These animals are added to any aircraft by selecting it from the options menu.
The product page says, “Companions can be selected in the GENERAL OPTIONS -> MISC settings under Pilot / Copilot Options. With this approach, companions are compatible with any aircraft utilizing the MSFS Character system.“
This is dependent on the aircraft developer if they honour the system correctly, so it may not work with all aircraft correctly. However, there should be a good number that allows you to add a virtual companion with you on your flights.
