Popular AI model package FSLTL has released its latest version, including a wealth of new aircraft, liveries, sounds, effects and new lighting enhancements.
The standalone package is a free-to-use real-time online traffic overhaul and VATSIM model-matching solution for Microsoft Flight Simulator. The latest version, 1.3, now includes the Boeing 787-8, ATR-42 500/600 and an additional 100 liveries, bringing their current total to over 1900.
Furthermore, the latest version also includes changes to its models, including fixed animations on flaps and reverse thrust systems. The sounds of the aircraft have also received attention in the latest update, in which the team say sees ‘improvements across the board for all models’, and a reworking of start-up and shutdown sounds, all of which they say see an improvement for VR and headphone users.
The largest area of improvement included in their update appears to be the lighting, with users now able to chose between faux flare and no flare lighting. Flash rates for both navigations and beacon lights have been tweaked and both taxi and landing lights are now fixed to the front nose gear and disappear when these are retracted. Interior lighting has been amended with difference colours, and some models feature logo lights while parked.
