Performance-friendly scenery developer FSCGAA has released its recreation of Ulaanbaatar Chinggis Khaan International Airport (ZMCK), bringing a high-altitude international aviation hub for Prepar3D users to enjoy.
Situated at an altitude of 10’800ft, Chinggis Khaan International Airport (ZMCK) is the primary aviation hub in Mongolia, serving as the country’s primary port of entry. The airport is 52km south of Mongolia’s capital, Ulaanbaatar, and serves as the central hub for MIAT Mongolian Airlines and Aero Mongolia.
The design of the airport, which is supposed to serve as a replacement for the capital’s former aviation hub Buyant-Ukhaa International Airport, began in 2006 with the help of the Japanese government. Groundbreaking started in July 2012, and construction finished in 2019, three years behind schedule. Though ready to open for commercial operations in 2019, due to the advent of the pandemic, operations only started on July 4th, 2021, with a MIAT Mongolian Airlines Boeing 737 doing the honors of first burning rubber on the airport’s new runway.
Performance-friendly developer FSCGAA has released its rendition of this essential Mongolian aviation hub for P3D users to enjoy. The developer’s recreation, in addition to featuring a highly accurate airport recreation, features high-resolution ground and building textures, custom-made ground polygons, dynamic lighting, and animated SODE jetways.
FSCGAA’s version of Ulaanbaatar Chinggis Khaan International Airport (ZMCK) is available for purchase via the developer’s simMarket store page and will cost you €16.00 Exc. VAT.
