Flight simulator developer Flysimware gave the community a Christmas present with the early access release of their Learjet 35A for MSFS.
The Learjet 35A is an American business jet and military transport aircraft that was manufactured between 1973 and 1993. When the aircraft first took to the skies, it was one of the fastest jets in its class. Over 600 of the Learjet 35As were produced and they are known for their comfortable cabin design, rear-mounted engines, and wingtip fuel tanks. Most notably, a Learjet 35A owned by Bill Daniels set the around-the-world record in 1996 of just over 46 hours.
For those who have been following Flysimware for a while, you will know that the developer created a Learjet 35A for P3D. However, the MSFS version will not be a portover; Flysimware has promised complex and in-depth systems that go far beyond the P3D version. In fact, the early-access aircraft has been tested by real-world Learjet 35A pilots and flight instructors. However, it’s important to note that the early access does not include a user manual or tutorials.
While no feature list has been published yet, Flysimware has stated that there will be three models for the Learjet 35A: one with a Custom GNS 530 GPS, one with PMS50 GTN 750 GPS integration, and one with TDS GTN 750 GPS integration. In addition, since the release on Christmas, Flysimware has released three hotfixes to address bug fixes and add new features to the aircraft.
You can purchase Flysimware’s Learjet 35A from their website for $39.99 and follow any development updates on their Discord server.
