Separated from their original design studio, Supercritical Simulations Group (SSG), Flight Procedures Simulations (FPS) has brought their Embraer E195 to X-Plane 12 with an extensive upgrade to the aircraft systems, visuals and sounds.
The E195 is manufactured by the Brazilian aerospace company, Embraer. It is the largest model in Embraer’s E-Jet family, which is designed for regional and medium-range flights and operated around the globe by airlines such as Aurigny, TAP Express, LOT Polish Airlines and its biggest operator, Azul Brazilian Airlines. Over 170 aircraft have been ordered and shipped to date.
Flight Procedures Simulations has upgraded their original E-jets Evolution series aircraft to be fully compatible with X-Plane 12 along with a plethora of additional features to enhance the original release under the SSG brand. The team has revamped the model to include more real-world features than before such as antennas, drains and vents, animations to doors, wing flex, landing gear and internal components such as enhanced PBR lighting in the cockpit and cabin and further detailed overhead, pedestal and forward panels.
The systems of the E195 have also seen significant improvements such as an overhauled Fly By Wire system, FMS, Advanced Advisory System with over 100 messages, and Hydraulic, electrical and bleed air system logic improvements to name a few. The update also brings an integrated tablet with optional functionality from AviTab, the EFB allows pilots to initialise the aircraft with three states, operate ground vehicles such as GPU, and pushback truck as well as the doors and loadout of the aircraft along with settings, preferences and autosave features.
