A short and sweet post on Facebook shared a few days ago (sorry!) confirmed that scenery developer, Boundless, is working on North Weald Airfield for X-Plane 11 and X-Plane 12.
North Weald Airfield is a historic airfield located near the village of North Weald Bassett in the Epping Forest district of Essex. North Weald Airfield has also been used as a filming location for numerous movies and television shows. It has provided a backdrop for period dramas, war films, and even science fiction productions.
The team revealed a bunch of early renders of the airport. It’s good to note that this is very early in the development stage, so there is still plenty of work to be done before it’s released.
Boundless is known for creating quality airports in X-Plane, including Faro, Stansted and smaller airports like Shebdon. No doubt that the team will be working to make even this small airfield a quality product for those looking to adventure around North Weald.
