Developer Barelli MSFS Addon has released 2 versions of Salerno Airport (ICAO: LIRI) for Microsoft Flight Simulator.
The airport, located just south of Naples on the Almafi coast, saw commercial services for much of its life from the 1950s onwards until in 2016 the airport was closed.
However later this year, in a surprise twist of events, the airport is due to be reopened in July this year, with services to be resumed from carriers including EasyJet and Volotea.
Barelli MSFS Addon has released 2 versions of the airport, one reflective of the current 2024 state of the airport, and another 2026 version. The 2026 includes improvements which are currently either in construction or scheduled for build, including a runway extension, new terminals for commercial passengers as well as general aviation, ILS navaids, and new airport buildings on the air and land sides.
The new addon can be installed now from SimMarket.
