Aeroplane Heaven Announces Spitfire Prototype, Previews Hawker Hurricane

Aeroplane Heaven has announced a new variant of their popular Spitfire: the Prototype. The announcement was made over on Facebook, together with some previews of the new aircraft package. Although the feature list for the Prototype package has not been announced, the developer did share that the Mk1 Early will be a part of this package.

The Mk1 Early has some significant differences compared to later Spitfires. The aircraft lacks an armoured screen, has a ring-and-bead gunsight instead of a collimated gunsight, a pump operated landing gear control and a flat-top canopy rather than the bubble canopy that was seen in later Spitfires.

The Spitfire Prototype package follows on the announcement of a Spitfire MkVb model, just last week. The developer is also working on their Avro Lancaster and a Hawker Hurricane.

Hawker Hurricane Previews

Amidst this frenzy of new Spitfires the developer also shared some more previews of their upcoming Hawker Hurricane. This aircraft was announced earlier this month, and is scheduled to be released sometime next month. The new previews of the aircraft focus on the exterior of the plane, and include a Tropical variant of the aircraft with a large “chin” under the engine cowling, featuring an engine dust filter.
