Aeroplane Heaven Announces Avro Lancaster

Aeroplane Heaven is on a roll, and maintaining momentum, the team has shared the first previews of one of their next projects. The Avro Lancaster B Mk 1 was a British heavy bomber that entered active service with the RAF in 1942 during the strategic bombing offensive over Europe. Powered by four Rolls-Royce Merlin engines, the plane became the defacto heavy bomber for the RAF and RCAF, especially suitable for night operations.

The previews shown by Aeroplane Heaven are still in a quite early state, and only show close-up textured renders. Clearly shown are the plane’s defensive weapons, such as the high powered turrets that can be found in the nose, body and tail of the plane, with a lot of attention to detail.

The developer did not comment on any other specifics of the plane, such as an overall development status or a release indication. But as the previews still appear to be of an earlier development stage, it might still be a little while before this plane will enter our sims. We’ll keep you up to date as Aeroplane Heaven provides more information regarding the project.
