During the Xbox Game Showcase (about 1 hour and 24 minutes in), a brand new trailer for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024.
In the trailer, we get a glimpse of the new simulator running in stunning new detail. We see humans in commercial aircraft, animals, new environmental effects, and much more.
As with the initial announcement trailer, we see there will be more to the simulator than just a few bush missions and challenges (alongside open flight). Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 will let you simulate a variety of different ‘aviation-themed’ experiences. Those shown off in the trailer include:
- Air Ambulance
- Aerial advertising
- VIP Charter Services
- Agricultural Aviation
- Search and Rescue
- Helicopter Cargo Transport
- Remote Cargo Ops
- Aerial Firefighting
- New photography mode when out in the wilderness
Helicopters, gliders, fighter jets, hot air balloons, blimps, and commercial jets were shown. It also appears that the Airbus A330 will be included as a default aircraft in the new simulator.
The trailer also reconfirmed various features like seasons, new weather effects, and improved human models.
Finally, it was confirmed that Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 will be released on November 19th 2024. It will release on PC and Xbox on the same date, and will be available day and date on Xbox Game Pass and PC Game Pass.
