During FlightSimExpo 2024, SoFly has announced its roadmap for EcoSoundScapes, their most recently released product.

To start, SoFly addressed they were aware of feedback surrounding some missing sounds and some performance issues. With that, they are redeveloping the engine to ensure that this won’t be the case moving forward. Work is going well on it and will be provided as a free update.

Alongside this, the team confirmed that sounds will be global. So instead of sounds based on placed locations, it will read data from the sim and then play more appropriate sounds. Again a free update for all customers and on Xbox.

In the mean time, SoFly also said that a few new sound sets will also come for PC and Xbox users. This includes new aircraft sound effects (e.g. rattles, bumps) and also ATC sounds based on location. Some examples were shared during the show.

SoFly says that these updates are coming as quickly as possible, and want to get it right.
