VATSIM Announce New Elite Wings Event Series

Virtual traffic network VATSIM has announced their latest event series for sim pilots, Elite Wings.

The new series comes with the tag-line ‘conquer the skies, master the challenge’. Aimed at ‘experienced pilots only’, the network say the series will see pilots tackling challenging airports with tough approaches, busy airspace and large airport layouts.

The Elite Wings events are said to ‘push your abilities to the limit and provide an unforgettable flying experience’, which sounds like an exciting new addition to the already popular virtual traffic network.

The free-to-use multiplayer network enables users to simulate both the role of air traffic control and also pilot operations. Other well-known events thrown by the network include their Cross The Pond and Cross The Land series, which regularly sees an enormous volume of users taking to the virtual skies.

VATSIM have yet to announce when Elite Wings will commence, but those cunning aviators who fancy a riddle may be able to solve the puzzle as to where the first edition will be held:

I hold the endless green, With rhythms and dance rarely seen.

With the help of flight simulators, namely FSX and more recently Xplane 11, he eventually muddled his way to sitting behind the controls of the real thing on a daily basis.
