PMDG Partnering With VATSIM For 777 Launch Event

Take the new PMDG 777 on a delivery flight with full ATC!

PMDG Partnering With VATSIM For 777 Launch Event

PMDG and VATSIM have jointly announced today that a special event celebrating tomorrow’s highly anticipated launch of the Boeing 777-300ER for Microsoft Flight Simulator will take place on June 30. (To be clear the plane is due out on 25th June)

The event will see staffing at Boeing’s Paine Field (KPAE) and Dubai Airport (OMDB) for several hours on Sunday, allowing simmers to replicate a delivery flight of the iconic wide body.

Although the event is set up with the 777 in mind, there is no requirement to fly the type and users can elect to fly in with whatever aircraft they like.

That being said, VATSIM wishes to remind users that per the network’s code of conduct, you should be familiar with your aircraft before taking it onto the network. You may refer to CoC B8 for more information on this.

Dubai (OMDB) will be staffed from 1400-2000z, while Paine Field (KPAE) will have full coverage from 2359-0400z into the morning of July 1.

For more information on the event, check out the VATSIM page here.
