In a surprise announcement on Facebook, UK2000 Scenery has opted to head to the USA with their next Microsoft Flight Simulator airport release. This new US airporyt will be John Wayne Airport (KSNA), which is located in the Greater Los Anegeles area in California.
In the Facebook announcement, UK2000 Scenery (US2000 Scenery, now..?) explained that with a number of developers focusing on UK airports, the team wanted to expand their prospects by looking at other areas of the world to develop airports for.
The airport product itself represents a “leap forward” for UK2000 Scenery in terms of the visual representation of the airport. They will be including improved HD PBR materials and a level of detail that is beyond anything they have developed before. This includes hundreds of custom-made models and objects that accurately designed and placed. Furthermore, there are also a number of GA aircraft modelled, such as the C172, the SR22 and the P51 to name a few.
Taking things even further, UK2000 Scenery has opted to design some of the terminal interiors, along with passengers, seats, plants and even the fast-food outlets found inside the airport. Finally, there are 21 unique animated jetways that dock with your aircraft.
Although a release date wasn’t specified by the developer, UK2000 Scenery did say that the product will be released soon. In the meantime, you can watch the short trailer put together showcasing it off.
