After confirming the Airbus A350 earlier this year in partnership with FlightFactor, and eluding to their next aircraft development on the FSElite stage at FSWeekend, ToLiss has confirmed that the development of the Airbus A330-X is now underway.
Through a Facebook post on the ToLiss community and news group, Giuliana announced that ToLiss will be working on an Airbus A330 but the variant is still yet to be disclosed. Although X-Plane 12 has a Laminar Research Airbus A330ceo already, the photos in the announcement video used to tease the development, are all the A330ceo variant which may suggest the subtype but messaging on the post specifically states that the variant is ‘TBA’.
The post also mentioned that the release will be compatible with X-Plane 12 and will also support X-Plane 11 backwards compatibility.
Release date for the product is of course undisclosed, but following ToLiss tradition, there may be a link between release date and the aircraft type. Historically, we have seen the most recent release, the A320neo released on March 20th, written in the M/D/YY format is 3/20. The A340-600 was released on October 25th 2021, exactly 30 years since the first flight of the original A340 real world aircraft.
FSElite will bring you any further progress on the A330 development, but if you want to check out what makes the ToLiss aircraft tick behind the scenes, you can watch Torsten’s presentation on the FSElite stage from FSWeekend here.
