Scenery developer, Pilot Plus has announced Biggin Hill EGKB for Microsoft Flight Simulator.
Biggin Hill is located just outside South East London and started life as a World War I airfield and later home for Spitfire and Hurricane Squadrons during WWII. Biggin Hill today sees just private business jets and general aviation movements as the airfield are restricted from operating scheduled fare-paying services despite having a runway capable of handling a 737/A320.
Pilot Plus has announced that their next venture will be to recreate this suburban airport for Microsoft Flight Simulator. The team has worked closely with the Biggin Hill Airport team to help capture the airport from all angles including from above, via helicopter. The scenery will include all custom airport buildings and hangars, a detailed tower with modelled internals. The team will also include accurate terrain data at an impressive 1-metre resolution to recreate the famous hill that gives the airport the ‘Biggin on the Bump’ nickname.
Head on over to the Pilot Plus website for more previews of Biggin Hill for MSFS.
