Orbx Gold Coast Airport (YBCG) is on short final for Microsoft Flight Simulator, with the announcement being made on their forums. Orbx developer Matteo Venanziani is the creator of this scenic destination, with some of his other creations being Sacramento, Burbank and Unalaska.
Gold Coast Airport is an international airport located in Coolangatta, a suburb at the southern end of the Gold Coast in Queensland, Australia. The airport is served by many airlines such as AirAsia X, Air New Zealand, Bonza, Jetstar, Qantas, Virgin Australia and more, cargo operations are handled by Qantas Freight.
Orbx has recreated Gold Coast Airport in high detail based on the 2024 layout and featuring 4K texturing throughout, animated custom jetways with sound, airside and landside details, main terminal interiors, detailed ground markings, custom GSE, performance optimisation and more.
