Developer MXI Design recently took to their Instagram account to share the news that their latest scenery for MSFS is out. This time, the team has released Kukës International Airport Zayed in Albania.
Kukës International Airport Zayed (KFZ/LAKU) traces its roots back to 1929 when it served as a domestic airfield before eventually being converted into a military airfield 15 years later. In the early 2000s, the United Arab Emirates, under the leadership of Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, proposed a plan to construct a new Kukës airport in order to boost the local economy. The airport officially opened in April 2021 and was named Kukës International Airport Zayed to honor Sheikh Zayed.
MXI Design’s rendition of the airport includes all the essentials of a MSFS scenery, including PBR textures on all the buildings, detailed terminal interiors, and realistic modeling of the airport buildings and ground markings. With the airport being nestled near tall mountains, flying into Kukës is sure to be an exciting adventure for any flight simulator pilot.
