Texture developer MoreRightRudder (MRR) has released their Cockpit Texture Mod for the default Asobo 747 in Microsoft Flight Simulator. MRR bills itself as a team of passionate texture artists who are redefining the standards of flight simulation by creating meticulously crafted aircraft and cockpit textures that are as close to reality as possible. Mike, MRR’s lead texture designer, has contributed work to FlyByWire’s A380 and A320, as well as other projects. Mike is also a real-life 747-400 pilot; a position that gives him unique access to capture the 747’s cockpit in stunning detail and bring true-to-life textures to MSFS.
In addition to direct cockpit access to the 747, MRR states that they use the latest techniques and technologies, including Adobe Substance 3D Sampler photogrammetry software, to create textures that are visually authentic. The package is designed for all levels of expertise, from beginners to seasoned pilots, and is fully compatible with the default Asobo 747-8. And, as one can see from the photos, MRR’s textures certainly bring a realistic “worn and lived-in” look to the 747’s cockpit.
The 747 Cockpit Texture Modification package from MoreRightRudder is available via simMarket for 14.50 EUR | 12.62 GBP | 15.42 USD (estimated conversion, excludes any applicable taxes).
