The freeware developer has provided more information on the upcoming DC-10/KC-10, in their “Quarterly Info Drop” on Discord. The developers show some awesome progress pictures as well as include some more information on the status of the aircraft’s development.
Starting off with the visuals, Aero Dynamics is continuing to work on optimizing and enhancing the aircraft, including standardizing its workflow for future additions/variants. They’ve added the ability to open up the engine cowlings, showing quite a bit of detail to their external model. The gear bays are also a work in progress but are coming along nicely. The interior model is also shaping up, with a texture and model overhaul to bring it up to a higher standard. In the future, users can swap gauges around to create dozens of unique cockpit combinations. This is very exciting indeed as it serves as a way to make your flying experience tailored to your personal preferences.
Aero Dynamics also demonstrated its hydraulic system in a video on their Discord channel, showing the powerup of hydraulic pressure and the actuation of the ailerons. Lastly, the developers mentioned that they are continuing to look for fresh talent to help in the creation of this airplane addon.
