Followed closely in the tracks of the recent release of Bdo Aviation’s Phuket scenery, developer A_A Sceneries has announced to be working on an update for their version of the airport.
A_A Sceneries currently has a version of Phuket (VTSP) available on SimMarket, but this version dates back to 2012 and is rather outdated, though it still works in our newer simulators. The airport has seen a lot of changes in the seven years since A_A Sceneries’ release, including the construction of an entirely new terminal building.
The announcement was made over on the FSDeveloper forums, with A_A Sceneries sharing a lot of previews of the new version and showing the scenery has already been in development for some time. The previews also show that work on the scenery is progressing quite nicely, with new and updated modelling and more detailed textures compared to the previous version. The update also shows the airport in its current state, including the new terminal building.
A_A Sceneries refused to give a timeline, stating “I work slow but I have fun with all my work”. He did announce that customers of his current version of Phuket should expect some sort of discount on this new version once it releases.
