61Tree Studio, a relatively new developer who has previously only sold livery packs for Microsoft Flight Simulator, has taken their first step into the world of scenery development with the release of Livingstone International Airport (FLHN) for MSFS.
The airport, whose full name is Harry Mwanga Nkumbula International Airport, serves the city of Livingstone in the country of Zambia and acts as a gateway to the Victoria Falls national park. The airport was previously named after the city it served, although was renamed following a refit in the later half of the 2010s after a leader of the Zambian African National Congress.
The scenery product itself from 61Tree appears to be well detailed, with features such as a modelled terminal interior, custom foliage and plants, static pax and ambient lighting being present.
61Tree goes into further detail on the product page, stating that “The goal of this scenery is to supply you with the experience of actually visiting the Livingstone airport as much as possible in the simulator by detailling the interiors along with the surrounding buildings. As a result it’s a bit on the heavy side so if your running a low-end machine or you’re an FPS junky, this addon probably isn’t for you. I would recommend a beefy medium-end to high-end system with a GPU of at least 10GB VRAM. I will go back, after everything is complete, to optimize textures and polycount as much as possible, in order to help improve performance.”
61Tree also says that the product is currently about 70% of the way to completion and will receive post-launch updates adding features such as completion of buildings in the surrounding area, an interior for the ATC building, more shops, medical bays and security areas.
The developer is also inviting customers to message them with any suggestions for improvement and/or corrections, to which they state they will do their best to fix them.
Livingstone Airport for MSFS can be picked up via SimMarket now for £13.50 including local taxes.
