Virtual Reality Simulations, or VRS, have announced that their F/A-18F Rhino can now be pre-ordered. The VRS F/A-18E Superbug was their first rendition of the iconic fighter jet. It is a study-level military-grade aircraft for FSX and P3D. But now with their brand new Rhino, things are about to get a lot better.
The new VRS F/A-18F Rhino has been in the works for many years. Researching, modeling and texturing with state of the art development techniques has taken a long time but we are not too far off now. Developers have stated that “The Rhino is destined to be our finest work yet.” The entire aircraft, like most new addons coming out, will have PBR (Physical Based Rendering) throughout the entire aircraft to give the user a more immersive experience. VRS states as well that the Rhino will be released first for P3Dv4+, followed by MSFS2020 but will require and complete re-write of the avionics among other things. By the sounds of it, the F/A-18F Rhino will be released at some point in 2020 since the post on the VRS forum says work for MSFS2020 will stretch well into 2021. As some may know, the FSX and P3D licenses are different and must be purchased separately. This will be the same for P3D and MSFS2020. The reason behind this is the sheer difference between the two platforms. Also stated in the post, the Rhino will NOT be available for FSX.
If you desire the fine works of the Virtual Reality Simulations F/A-18F Rhino, it is now available for pre-order only for 54.99USD. No release date has been set, but we may be able to expect it within 2020. For more info, please check out the VRS Forum. You can see the latest news, updates, and previews from this development. The feature list is also quite extensive, so it can be viewed in full on their forum post.
