Like other developers, TOGA Projects is waiting on Lockheed Martin to release their second hotfix for Prepar3D v5 before releasing any updates to their current range of products. In the mean time, TOGA Projects did want to highlight one of the new features coming to Envshade. This being the ability to brighten the cockpit of PBR based aircraft.
When using PBR materials to create the cockpit for aircraft, it usually results in cockpits that are too dark – this is especially when using Envshade. Whilst you can change the brightness with non-PBR aircraft, it possible with add-ons such as the Aerosoft A330, Milviz King Air 350i or others. However, the new update coming to Envshade will correct this by default.
Alongside the adjustments made simply by using the software, users can have complete control over the brightness using the “Aircraft shadows depth” setting. TOGA Projects said that this setting can also open up new “diverse possible PBR enhancements that may come in the future.”
Two previews highlighting the immediate changes was published on their blog page and we have shared them below.
The team are currently testing this new feature which will be coming to both Prepar3D v4.4+ and also Prepar3D v5. It’s worth noting that the v5 version will also contain several enhancements to the existing features, but details on them will come in due course.
Currently, all TOGA Project products are on sale with 30% off their usual price. This means Envshade is now only €5.04 (excl. tax). You can pick it up from simMarket, with the offer valid until June 30th 2020.
