Star Atlas, until now has been an X-Plane only scenery developer, announced that they’ve started working on Beijing Daxing International Airport (ZBAD) for Microsoft Flight Simulator. They previously released the same airport at the end of last year for X-Plane. Next to Hefei (ZSOF), this is their third release. Star Atlas, however, is determined to make a classic of every airport they design, it will be ready when it meets their expectations.
So even though they’re about to land their first MSFS project, they’re not thinking about releasing ZBAD yet. They’re waiting for the release of the Microsoft Digital Rights Manager but they’ve already rebuilt the entire airport from the ground up, constantly evaluating whether they deliver the quality standards they’ve set. This is clearly visible in the highly detailed interiors of a number of buildings.
Until the release, we can enjoy these impressions of the second largest airport in Beijing.
The developer finishes by adding that X-Plane owners of ZBAD version 1.4 will receive a free upgrade to version 2.0, based upon the new build for MSFS, via the X-Plane Store.
