Stairport Sceneries has released an addition to the latest Scenery Animation Manager utility for X-Plane, SAM Global Trees. SAM Global Trees is a standalone tree replacement pack that can be used alone or in tandem with SAM Seasons. The new SAM Global Trees can be controlled through the SAM plugin menu.
This package is a further development of the FlyAgi Vegetation Global Trees addon that is already included in the SAM Seasons Library Package. For those who choose to use SAM Global Trees with SAM Seasons, there is no need to redownload the whole seasons package again. SAM Global Trees can also be used without installing the SAM Seasons if you wish.
Stairport Sceneries’ SAM Global Trees replaces global forests and trees with high resolution trees including those placed in urban autogen areas. If performance issues arise, the ability to reduce the amount of trees is available. A python based configuration tool allows manual copy and paste configuration settings and the SAM Seasons SDK can be incorporated giving scenery developers the ability to match SAM Global Trees’ color appearance.
