Popular for their plugin extensions for animated jetways and static aircraft library, Stairport Sceneries in conjunction with ShortFinal Design, announces a new SAM Global Airport Vehicle database for X-Plane 11.
SAM (Scenery Animation Manager), is a user-friendly plugin native to XP. It is used in the sim to directly control many animated features offered by the developer. These features range anywhere from a payware WorldJetways to a freeware StaticAircrafts library and a standalone SAM Global Trees library.
The news from their Facebook page states they are currently in beta testing. As the title states Global, you will find the database for worldwide coverage changing the current default (yet keeping default properties) vehicles to newly modeled and accurate liveries for that specific region at every airport you visit. Furthermore, the vehicles will have high quality detailed texturing along with PBR effects. For those that are not satisfied with the liveries provided, you have the option to create your own liveries for the objects as well as the option to integrate your own objects.
The SAM plugin is free and can be downloaded from the X-Plane.com forums.
