Over on Facebook, MK-Studios has once again shared some previews of their highly anticipated upcoming scenery, Keflavik airport (BIKF). The previews show part of the terminal exterior, interior and jetway, all with PBR textures. Also shown is a small part of the apron, which features a nice little heap of shoveled snow. According to the developer, they were getting for a scenery test flight.
That’s not all the news, however. A few days ago, the team posted a few teaser shots of another airport. This airport was quickly identified to be Akureyri airport (BIAR), also located in Iceland. Once the airport was identified, the team shared they are not only developing Keflavik airport, but will add a few more airports in the same package. These airports will feature photorealistic textures, custom objects and mesh corrections. Akureyri airport will also receive some custom buildings. For now the team is looking at adding Grímsey airport (BIGR), Ísafjörður airport (BIIS), and the aforementioned Akureyri airport in addition to Keflavik airport. The developer also shared the scenery package will be compatible with Orbx’s freeware Iceland demo, and will be highly recommended to complement the airports and experience.
