Developer FSimStudios has shared an extensive update for its upcoming version of Vancouver International Airport for both Microsoft Flight Simulator and Prepar3D v4/v5. The post was shared on Facebook and covers everything from features, pricing and the release date.
Firstly, the team wanted to highlight the features which would be coming to the scenery product upon release. The Prepar3D version will feature 178 square KM of imagery which includes downtown Vancouver with custom-made buildings. Furthermore, the airport has been designed and modelled on the current layout as recent as August 2020, to give simmers the most up-to-date version of the airport possible.
The development team is ensuring that all of the details will be there for simmers including PBR texturing, native to both P3D and MSFS, along with seasonal aerial imagery and numerous landmarks such as the local shopping outlets and even the bridges that span the Fraser River.
FSimStudios plans to release Vancouver International Airport for Prepar3D v4/v5 on October 31st 2020, with the Microsoft Flight Simulator release following two-weeks afterwards.
To try and make things as easy as possible for simmers, FSimStudios are releasing the Prepar3D version for $25 USD. This will also include a copy of the airport for Microsoft Flight Simulator. That said, if people are only wanting the Microsoft Flight Simulator version, you will be able to buy it for $11.00 USD. Presumably, this will be made available through multiple stores including OrbxDirect.
As we get closer to the October 31st release date, we’re sure more previews for the airport will be released. In related news, FSDreamTeam released an upgraded FSX port of Vancouver International Airport for Microsoft Flight Simulator.
