The developer behind Lyon, Liverpool and Tenerife South has taken to their Facebook group to preview new screenshots for Sochi Airport. The new product was quietly announced a couple of weeks ago, but these new previews highlight some new details within the product.
Situated on the coast of the Black Sea, Sochi International Airport (URSS) is one of the largest airports in all of Russia, seeing over 6 million passengers through its doors each year. In 2014, the airport served as the main gateway to the Winter Olympics and has since seen its popularity grow. The airport has two main runways capable of handling small and large aircraft. Sochi Airport serves many routes across Europe, Russia and the Middle East from airlines such as Smartavia, Ural Airlines and Pobeda.
These previews from Digital Design highlight the stunning level of detail Evgeny always delivers with his projects. The building structures and terminal designs look wonderful with plenty of details throughout. The texture quality is equally as impressive, with even close attention to detail on some of the murals at the airport. Beyond the airport, these previews show there will be harbours, ports, office buildings and much more to help really immerse you into the sim. The approach looks really exciting as you fly over the industrial areas.
It has been confirmed that Sochi Airport will release in July for Microsoft Flight Simulator. However, both Prepar3D and X-Plane 11 versions are planned, but there is no indication of a release date at this time. As always, we’ll keep you informed of any new information.
