Developer Chris Bell has announced a new product to his line of night lighting series is now available to pre-order. Extended Lights Pack is an extension to the existing product line and will deliver night lighting over any photoreal ground texture set applied in the simulator. Furthermore, the product also promised to eliminate the popping effect in the simulator with night lighting appearing naturally to the horizon.
The Extended Lights Pack will not replace Night Environment, as this new product is a Global Landclass based system with new technical features. Those exact features were not specified in the forum post. To complement the announcement, a range of previews and examples shots were shared on the forums. To buy the Extended Lights Pack from Chris Bell, you will need to already own both Black Marble BASE and Black Marble VECTOR for Prepar3D V4. At the time of writing, if you own those already this extension will cost you an additional $56.24. After the pre-order discount period ends, the product will cost $74.99. If you don’t own any of the Black Marble products, then the total cost to you will be $162.13 ($180.88 after the pre-order discount period ends).
