Aircraft developer Black Box Simulation has shared some new details and previews for its upcoming release of the L-19 Bird Dog aircraft for Microsoft Flight Simulator.
The aircraft product is based on the Cessna L-19/O-1 Bird Dog and will be released with 3 variants included in the package. Included, according to this Facebook post, will be the standard version of the aircraft, the amphibious version and also the bush aircraft. Each of them will give you different dynamics and the ability to land on different types of terrain.
According to another comment left by the Black Box Simulation team, the L-19 Bird Dog series of planes for Microsoft Flight Simulator will be released in a matter of “weeks rather than months”. It was also confirmed that these are completely rebuilt and compiled for Microsoft Flight Simulator and not ports of the FSX versions.
Following on from this, a collection of screenshots of the aircraft from within the simulator was also shared highlighting the configurations available in various environments.
In all of the posts from Black Box Simulations, they continued to assure customers of the numerous Airbus packages that these products are not taking away any development time and they are “still hard at work” on those projects. Version 0.9 of the Airbus prologue series was due to release over a year ago, despite the promises of it being close and the previous large update releasing in October 2017.
We’ll follow the progress on the L-19 and keep you updated.
