Aerosoft has released a brand-new update for its A330 Professional on Prepar3D v4 and v5. The new stable release introduces Controller–pilot data link communications (CDPLC) as the primary new feature to the update. Using the Hoppie network, you will now be able to receive flight ATC data and messages directly within your aircraft.
The new networking capabilities mean that VATSIM and IVAO controllers can send you data such as ATIS directly into your aircraft. The controller does also need to be connected to the Hoppie network to ensure this works. Other users connected to Hoppie can also send you messages. In addition, the ATSU for the aircraft can also send data to the ATC during your flight.
In addition to the new CPDLC, some improvements to the aircraft have also been made. The changelog lists that major improvements have been made to the checklist and view system (two elements we suggested needing improvements in our review), along with a possible bug fix for the external power not working in some aircraft states.
You can get the update now through the Aerosoft Updater tool. If you don’t own the Aerosoft A330 Professional, you can get it now from Aerosoft for €58.78.
