Following the release of their Tweed-New Haven Airport (KVHN) scenery for MSFS, scenery developer VREF Simulations has provided community members with another exciting destination to explore in MSFS, this time coming in the form of Glacier Park International Airport (KGPI).
Glacier Park International Airport, originally known as Flathead County Airport, was opened in 1942 and is located six nautical miles to the northeast of Kalispell, a medium-sized city set in Flathead County, Montana. The airport saw its first passenger service introduced by Northwest Airlines back in 1950 and saw little traffic until it was designated an international facility. Today, the airport is visited by numerous carriers each day, although none of them operate to international destinations. The airport’s busiest route, by passenger traffic, comes in the form of Delta Air Lines’s daily connection to Salt Lake City, Utah, closely followed by Horizon Air’s route to Seattle, Washington.
Up and coming MSFS scenery developer VREF Simulations has now provided interested customers with its rendition of this iconic U.S. airfield. Together in partnership with Y.D. Designs, the development team promises customers an immersive and highly accurate rendition of the field. The product comes included with high-definition PBR textures applied all to all airport buildings, custom night lighting, and the addition of custom created static aircraft.
The scenery is now available for purchase on simMarket and will set you back €11.99 E.x. VAT.
