Torquesim X-Plane developer has shared with us their Week 2 development progress update on their upcoming Cirrus SR22. The previews concentrates on the interior and on the electrical system. The latter is paramount on the SR22, since it drives most of the features of this aircraft, from the autopilot and instruments package to deicing the windshield and prop. Hence, a realistic rendition of the SR22 has to go through a correct rendition of the electrical core of the aircraft. Torquesim shares with us some insights on the circuit itself, telling us their target is “providing a robust platform to train upon”.
The rendering of the interior, taken from various angles, looks very good. The Garmin avionic suite seems to be not ready yet and still need a bit of work before “Power On” occurs. Overall, the preview is very promising.
The Torquesim SR22 will come in both basic and turbocharged variant, the SR22T. Make sure to stay tuned on FSElite for further information regarding the Torquesim SR22.
