Developer Maxx-XP Team, author of the popular weather and cloud engine SkyMaxx Pro for X-Plane, has previewed on their Facebook page an upcoming update.
The 4.9.3 version will feature a few bug fixes and will introduce new lighting effects. These have not been detailed so far.
The SkyMaxx Pro cloud engine is available for X-Plane 10 and X-Plane 11. The X-Plane 11 version is compatible with the Vulkan and openGL (for Mac) engines. The add-on also features an FS Global Real Weather compatibility for better integration. For those who are unaware of this plugin, it completely disables the rendition engine of X-Plane and creates a much more improved weather rendition, whether it is generated or through a live weather engine. It includes a 3D precipitation system and can display twice as much clouds as the default X-Plane engine.
The SkyMaxx Pro plugin is available on the X-Aviation website for $39.95.
