DC Designs Concorde Tentatively Releasing for MSFS in December; More Development Info

Developer DC Designs has today commented on what the future holds for them in light of the release of Microsoft Flight Simulator. The new simulator will be their platform of choice in the future and can now freely talk about their current development experiences with the simulator.

To begin, DC Designs said that the future for their development work will be on the new simulator. Concorde will be the last release for DC Designs on Prepar3D and FSX (early September), whilst any X-Plane 11 development will be permanently shelved. This is due to the fact DC Designs sees a huge number of people heading to the new Microsoft Flight Simulator and no longer using the older platforms. That said, they have committed to bringing PBR updates to the FA-18 and F-15, which is due for release in September.

Alongside their plans for future support with aircraft on the new platform, DC Designs also gave a tentative roadmap for their upcoming releases. Perhaps most excitingly is the fact that Concorde is due to release in December 2020 for Microsoft Flight Simulator. It should be noted this information is subject to change depending on how development goes. Before that, users can expect the F-15 Eagles for MSFS in October, followed by a release for the FA-18 Super Hornets in November. Finally, the team confirmed that they intend on releasing the F-14 Tomcats for MSFS in January 2021.

Whilst DC Designs is known for their aircraft, they have also begun development on a range of scenery products, also. Both Farnborough Airport and Blackbushe Airport will be coming to MSFS and a photoshoot of the latter airport is planned this weekend to ensure a quality product comes to the platform.

In short, DC Designs is excited for the future and bringing more products to the platform, with 30 already considered. We’ll keep you updated.
