We know, we know – we shared a few preview images from the Aerosoft A330 Professional just yesterday, however, some more, perhaps more relevant, previews have been shared. This time, some new previews showcasing the PBR applied to the external modelling has been showed off, along with some night lighting.
In addition to those previews, a brief teaser image of the built-in EFB has also been shown off by Mathijs Kok. The EFB is sadly powered off so we don’t get too much of a look-in at this time. It has been confirmed that the EFB will appear in the smaller Airbus aircraft developed by Aerosoft.
Finally, a brief update on the current status was shared with some issues currently on-going, in particular with the gear mechanisms. Here’s what Mr. Kok had to say:
“Well actually that is one of the things that is delaying the release. As you know the main gear of the A330 is very complex and rather unique. The only way to model this correctly is using InverseKinematics but we would need two additional contact points which simply are not there. We have spoken abut this with Lockheed and they can’t make any promises on that. The only way out of this is to simply start inputting numbers and with loooong experiments get the right animation. Days, perhaps weeks. It’s can’t be calculated.”
