Developer Aeroplane Heaven has shared more previews of its latest project, the Mk1A Spitfire for Microsoft Flight Simulator.
The Supermarine Spitfire is a British made fighter aircraft that was used by the Allies in World War 2. Between 1938 and 1948 over 20,000 of the aircraft were produced and put into service for the Royal Air Force, Royal Canadian Air Force, Free French Air Force, and the United States Army Air Force.
The previews for this new project came via a post to Aeroplane Heaven’s Facebook page, which also provided an update on the aircraft’s development. According to the post, the preview images show the flight testing of the exterior model. Modeling of the cockpit and development of its systems will begin as soon as the flight dynamics are perfected.
The post also emphasizes the fact that the project is still very much a work in progress, therefore there could potentially be many changes and improvements made to what is being shown in these early development images.
These new previews have come 4 months after the initial announcement of the Spitfire for MSFS, which you can read about here. Neither the initial announcement or this new preview have provided us with a release date or timeline for the new project.
