Updates on Newcastle, Boeing Field and More from I.D.S

Newcastle Ids

Boeing Field and Newcastle “aren’t too far away from release” says I.D.S in their latest update. We’ve heard similar things before in 2016, so let’s hope this time they’re right. Both scenery packages are highly anticipated after IDS released Manchester earlier this year. On top of that, IDS gave a brief update on Sacramento and Lynden Pindling International Airport. No time frame were given on the last 2, but they are going to re-open the source files and attempt to fix things that are causing performance issues.

As for Boeing Field (BFI), it’s finished and is being optimised to ensure the best performance is available. Some final comments are required, and we’ll be informed of any further updates in due course. Newcastle is ‘almost’ finished with testers having the chance to give feedback on anything to change or improve.

Nothing else to report, so we’ll keep an eye on the situation and let you know what’s going on.

Here’s the full update from I.D.S if you want it.

Hello everyone,

just a little update on what’s happening on our side.

BFI: BFI is done and was optimized again to ensure better peformance and looks. We are currently awaiting some final comments by our testers and will keep you regularly updated until release.

NCL: NCL is almost finished and we are currently sending the latest built to our testers so that they can give us their feedback before release. If anything critical is reported we’ll fix that before release otherwise NCL isn’t too far away as well. Find attached an image of the tower.

SMF: We are re-opening SMF’s sourcefiles and want to fix few things causing performance issues. We can’t say much at this time but we’ll keep you up to date.

NAS: Same as for SMF.
