LatinVFR Releases AREX Tropics South America for MSFS

Airport Regional Environment X Tropics South America1

LatinVFR continues to expand its AREX range for Microsoft Flight Simulator. This time, the team head to South America to make the ground services more akin to their real-life counterparts in that region.

The utility add-on includes logos and skins for most of South America’s ground handling and catering companies and injects realistic-looking vehicles into airports in the region. This includes push back trucks, airport traffic and service equipment such as the ground power unit. Further to the replacement of ground service equipment looks, customised sounds for animations have also been added to the vehicles. With this release, LatinVFR has also split the area into three regions for better representation of the companies that are in those countries.

AREX will simply replace the default vehicles with these custom-painted ones to make it more realistic for the region you’re flying in. It is worth noting that the plan is for AREX to work in conjunction with GSX by FSDreamTeam for Microsoft Flight Simulator and this is not a replacement tool for that type of add-on.

You can pick up a copy of LatinVFR’s AREX Tropics South America for Microsoft Flight Simulator now from the LatinVFR store for $8.49, or from simMarket for €8.49.

In related LatinVFR news, they just also released Airport Static Aircraft for Asobo Airports.

LatinVFR Releases San Juan TJSJ for MSFS

Latinvfr Tjsj San Juan Msfs (5)

Following on from the release AREX: Airport Regional Environment X North America, LatinVFR has released San Juan Airport (TJSJ) for Microsoft Flight Simulator. The airport in Puerto Rico serves a variety of airlines such as Silver Airways, JetBlue, Southwest and American Airlines. In addition to passenger services, the airport has various cargo operators such as Air Sunshine, Amazon Air, FedEx and UPS. The long 10,400ft runway also means long-haul aircraft can visit from locations in Europe, meaning the airport is great for all types of simmers.

LatinVFR has included a variety of features within the airport product. The up to date rendition of the airport includes detailed PBR ground markings, accurate 3D modelled buildings and sloped runways matching the real world. Whilst the airport is already impressively detailed, the development team has also included custom city buildings and vegetation for an authentic experience around the airport. Despite the detail, LatinVFR says that the airport is optimised for performance on various systems.

You can buy San Juan Airport now from LatinVFR’s website directly for $16.99 or from the new Contrail Store for €14.99 (excluding VAT). It’s worth noting that customers who own the airport for other platforms can get 30% off via the LatinVFR store using discount code TJSJMSFS.

San Juan joins LatinVFR’s growing collection of Microsoft Flight Simulator airports including Madrid, Barcelona and Miami.
