Up Close and Personal With the Honeycomb Aeronautical Tango-Foxtrot

Honeycomb Tango Foxtrot Cover

Whilst the FlightSimExpo 2021 has officially closed now in San Diego, there are still a few more things for us to cover before we can call it a day. Our crew on the ground were invited by Honeycomb Aeronautical to try out the Tango-Foxtrot. That’s right, our team is one of the first to get their hands on the prototype build of the upcoming control set.

When you look at the images, do note that this is a prototype build and things may be different in the final product. It currently doesn’t have the weight or correct feel as what the final product will, and the materials used are not final either. Regardless, this is the most detailed look of the controls so far.

The guys also tried it in the Lima Flight Chair. Patrick said that “paired with the chair, it feels really good.” Finally, the guys captured a short video of them getting up close and personal with the Tango-Foxtrot.

We have even more hardware footage over on our Instagram and newly launched TikTok account.

Update: Honeycomb Aeronautical Throttle Pack for A319 – A380 Releasing April 19th

Chrome 2021 03 31 17 54 44

Update: Since the original publication of this article, it is now been confirmed that users can pre-order the unit before they ship out on April 19th. As per our article, the price will be $69.99 USD. You can pre-order the throttles right now from the Honeycomb Aeronautical website. It’s not known yet if resellers such as Aerosoft will also sell the throttle add-on.

Update #2: The throttle pack is also available at Aerosoft to pre-order. Thanks to Dominik E for the tip.

In an email sent to customers who own Honeycomb Aeronautical’s Bravo unit, it has been confirmed that the Throttle Pack for Airbus A319 – A380 will release on April 19th 2021.

The email also confirmed that the throttles are open to pre-orders for customers prior to its April 19th 2021 release. What isn’t made clear is whether the release date is the day people can expect to receive them or when they’ll begin to ship.

The new Throttle Pack, which is designed to be used with the Bravo Throttle Quadrant (which is sold separately), includes 4 Airbus throttle modules and a new spoiler and flap mechanism.

When FSElite checked the official Honeycomb Aeronautical site, the product has already sold out. However, the email, seen by FSElite, confirms that the price of the Throttle Pack for Airbus A319 – A380 will be $69.99 (minus duties and import taxes). The product page hasn’t been updated with the release date and remains as Q2 2021.

Honeycomb Aeronautical recently revealed that production issues and shipping delays were impacting people getting both the Alpha and Bravo units, so it’s interesting to see how the new Throttle Pack will impact shipment to customers.

In other news, Honeycomb Aeronautical recently shared the idea of selling dust covers to protect your flight simulation hardware. You can read more about that here.
