Just Flight Releases Robin DR400 for X-Plane 11

Just Flight’s first release of 2020 is the Robin DR400 for X-Plane 11. The general aviation aircraft, developer in conjunction with Thranda Design, features a fixed tricycle landing gear, a 180 HP four-cylinder engine and a large forward-sliding canopy. The aircraft is deemed to be easy to fly by the real-world pilots who take the wooden aircraft to the skies.

As with other Just Flight GA aircraft, the team have worked extensively on providing a high-quality add-on that features many custom coded elements such as a fuel system specific to the aircraft, a functioning carburettor and functional circuit breakers. The Robin DR400 also features high-definition PBR texture work, many animated features and a fully 3D immersive virtual cockpit. The aircraft is also IFR-capable and the product includes a comprehensive range of avionics including a GMA 340 audio selector, GNS 430 GPS unit, KY 97 COM 2 radio, KN 64 DME, and more.

As with the recently released P3D/FSX version, the Just Flight Robin DR400 is available at the discounted price of just £9.99. Just with the P3D/FSX Robin DR400, the price isn’t repressive of a lower-quality product compared to their other GA aircraft but offered to the community in good-will.

You can buy the Just Flight Robin DR400 for X-Plane 11 from Just Flight right now for £9.99.

Just Flight Announces Robin DR400

Just Flight Robin Dr400 (4)

Just Flight continue to develop aircraft for the community. Their most recent announcement is that they are bringing the Robin DR400 to Prepar3D and FSX. The piston-engine aircraft can cruise at a smooth 130kts for several hours making it a great aircraft for sightseeing and training.

Along with the announcement of the Robin DR400, Just Flight also gave some insight into the features people can expect upon release. As usual, Just Flight are using real world aircraft to assist with the modelling and texture work of the aircraft, which have been captured from hundreds of photos. All of the textures will be rendered in 4K with PBR material (in P3Dv4.4+). As with other Just Flight aircraft, the Robin DRR400 will have a full custom-coded electrical system, spark plug fouling and functioning carburettor heat and primer controls.

No release date was mentioned, but it was confirmed that the aircraft will be coming to FSX, FSX:SE and all versions of Prepar3D. No news on whether an X-Plane or Aerofly FS 2 version will follow, but based on previous development cycles, it may be a safe bet to assume that it should happen in the future. If we get any confirmation, we’ll let you know.

You can follow the development progress on the Just Flight Robin DR400 page.
