Black Box Simulation Releases L-19 Bird Dog V1.6 for MSFS

Aircraft developer Black Box Simulation has released V1.6 of its Cessna L-19 “Bird Dog” for Microsoft Flight Simulator. 

The Bird Dog was developed in 1949 by Cessna as its new Model 305, which added a tandem seat configuration to a design that was based on the its 170. The United States Government took notice and saw great utility in the aircraft, and promptly ordered 418 of them. Ultimately, over 3,000 of the aircraft were built and shipped for civilian and military use all over the world.

A2A Simulations Updates Cessna 172


A2A Simulations has updated their Cessna 172 to version, with the biggest change to now include PBR texturing as part of the aircraft. The new update also includes dynamic illumination of the virtual cockpit, along with improved instrument backlighting.

In addition, VR support has been added for 2-D panel windows, along with improved support for RealityXP and the Flight1 GNS 530/430. There are also a range of other added functionality including the ability to autotune ADF frequencies ending in .5KHZ and a new backlight to the Davtron M803 chronometer.

The update is available for free right now via A2A Accu-Sim updated, which can be accessed by clicking start -> A2A Simulations.
