JustSim’s Barcelona was provided free of charge to FSElite for the purpose of reviewing for the community.
JustSim Barcelona El Prat Airport is the latest release from this developer who has had a prolific string of notable releases such as Nice, Klagenfurt, Innsbruck and most recently Barcelona. In this review, we will cover my opinions surrounding this scenery and I aim to give you the most accurate viewpoint on this major hub.
Barcelona El Prat is located approximately 12km from the centre of Barcelona City and is the second largest airport in Spain following on behind Madrid Barajas. Barcelona airport is a major transport hub for 5 airlines including Vueling, Air Nostrum, Norwegian Air Shuttle and Ryanair. In addition to this the airport also serves as a focus city for Air Europa, easyJet and Iberia whose main hub is Madrid Barajas. Barcelona mainly serves domestic European destinations but also has selected flights to North America, South America, Middle East, Asia and Africa. By the end of 2015 the airport had handled just under 39.7 million passengers just to give you an idea of scale.

JustSim have announced that their secret project is going to be Barcelona (LEBL), located on the coast of Spain.
Built from the ground up taking full advantage of the P3D SDK, JustSim have been using the latest technology to create, by the looks of it, their best looking scenery yet. Also using SODE 1.40, you’ll be able to attach jet bridges to your aircraft after landing.
Release will be very very soon, and we’ll be sure to review it once it’s out.
JustSim have confirmed that Barcelona will be released for FSX, P3D and X-Plane (version not disclosed)
LatinVFR have announced their first European airport! Barcelona, a very popular destination for tourists, architects and fans of a sport that many people around the world wrongly pronounce ‘soccer’, this airport has long been due to a new version (or a Prepar3d native version for that matter). The screenshots that LatinVFR provided look great and you can already see the amount of detail they put in to the airport itself as well as the surrounding area. They have also stated that they will optimise performance for Prepar3d by using P3D native code and elements (rather than FSX code/elements). That doesn’t mean that the airport won’t be coming to FSX though, because it will come to both FSX and Prepar3d. Other than that there isn’t much known yet about the airport, but I’ve already got my bags packed for a Barcelona holiday so we’ll keep you in the loop! Check out the original post over here.
