TFDi Design MD-11 Development Update

Tfdi Design Md 11 P3d (2)

TFDi Design has posted a progress update on the upcoming McDonnell Douglas MD-11 for Prepar3D. Writing on the TFDi website, the company used the article to outline the current progress of the plane, as well as to share an FMC preview from the hotly anticipated tri-jet.

While no more visual previews of the exterior model were made, it was confirmed that work continues in this area and that the control surfaces of the model had been exported and passed on to the flight dynamics programmer. The developers are also still on the lookout for manuals, diagrams and photographs covering technical aspects of the aircraft. Those with such material should submit them here. TFDi also provided a forum page to assist livery makers in creating new paint jobs for the plane.

Moving on to the back-end development, solid progress is being made on the aircraft systems which are now said to be working ahead of the models and textures. Significant strides have also been made with the FMC, allowing TFDi to share a small preview of it in action. Furthermore, developer “RogueShadow” was quoted as saying that “the development of the TFDi Design MD-11 is now firmly underway and a lot of progress is being made every day. Our team is spending a lot of time to get this project into your hands and in the virtual skies of the world.”

summarising, the company said that they are unable to provide a firm or estimated release date yet but we can expect regular development updates and twitch streams to show off progress. Be sure to stay tuned to FSElite for the latest on TFDi Design and the MD-11.
